Sources For Water Friendly Landscaping

Your lawn, your ornamental beds and plants - all add to the value of your property and all drink deeply of the most precious natural resource in Texas, our water supply.
Techniques exist to satisfy your need for beautification of your lawn and garden without unreasonable demands on water resources.  And, you don’t have to turn your front yard into the subdivision’s answer to a moonscape!
The Water Smart Steering Committee has compiled a list of books that feature native and drought tolerant plants.  Available for purchase at your local bookseller or from a number of internet commerce sites, many are also found on the shelves of your local library.
When you’re ready to replant or recover from water bill shock during the summer, take a look at the beauty found within the pages of these books.  You’ll be surprised at the lovely options you have that are water smart.
