  1. Develop, maintain, and implement a versatile "AWBD Water Smart Partners Program" with goals of . . 
    - decreasing water use by educating a District’s consumers
    - to value water each and every day, not just in times of drought

  2. Assist and encourage AWBD Members in . .
    - participating in the "AWBD Water Smart Partners Program" as either Districts or Consultants
    - sharing ideas on ways to educate consumers

  3. Educate members in conservation methods by . . 
    - sponsoring Water Smart programs at AWBD conferences
    - posting ideas and articles on the AWBD web site
    - exchanging ideas at the conferences
    - providing a speaker’s bureau to assist Directors

  4. Assist and encourage AWBD Member Consultants in . .
    - developing, maintaining, and implementing the Water Smart Program with the goal of helping Districts to become "AWBD Water Smart Partners"
    - educating their peers in effective conservation measures
    - sharing successful conservation methods

  5. Raise awareness of water conservation by using Water Smart Logo . . 
    - via Water Smart bumper stickers, community signs(available through AWBD)
    - working with the state to create a Water Smart license plate


  6. Publicly recognizing AWBD Members, both Districts and Consultants, who are assertively working to implement the"AWBD Water Smart Partners Program." Being recognized as Water Smart District Partners and Water Smart Consultant Partners at the AWBD Annual Conference is a great honor.
