Register Now For Annual Conference
  Registrations for the 2003 Annual Conference are beginning to fill the AWBD mailbox, as directors finalize plans to attend the event in Corpus Christi.
  To take full advantage of conference rates, return the registration form by May 13, 2003. Registrations received after that date are subject to higher fees.
  Registration forms may be obtained by calling the AWBD office at 281.350-7090 or toll free at 800.597-0122. Forms are available from the AWBD website at www.awbd-tx.org.
  Your registration is not complete without the Emergency Data Form.
  Dates for the Annual Conference at the Bayfront Convention Center in Corpus Christi are Thursday, June 26 - Saturday, June 28.
  Housing reservations must be made through the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau - not AWBD. The deadline for housing reservations is June 4, 2003 - but don't wait that long to make your reservations. The Annual Conference is the most popular event on the AWBD calendar and housing reservations are pouring in to the bureau.

AWBD Breakfasts - Cooking Up A Fantastic Program
  Watch your mailbox for the postcard with full details on the upcoming AWBD Breakfasts. This first event of the Spring offers a first in AWBD programming: a campaign primer for directors facing election challenges. The Association provides the politically savvy consultant who will clue you in on how to determine your message and get it across to the voters who will decide the upcoming election.
  Three breakfasts are scheduled: April 9 in Houston; April 16 in the North Texas Region; and, April 23 in the Central Texas Region. Mark your calendar now and watch for the postman.

Nominating Committee Workshop Information Available Now On The Web
  The Nominating Committee Workshop provides potential candidates for the AWBD Board of Trustees with all the information they need to run for office. If you didn't make the Mid Winter Conference, the material is available at the AWBD website.
  The Nominating Committee reminds potential candidates to be aware of upcoming deadlines. April 14 is the deadline for the office to receive the Candidate Information Form and nominating resolutions are due on May 13.
  For 2003, three At Large Trustees will be elected, as well as Regional Trustees for Central Texas, North Texas and South Texas.
